September 5, 2021 was the day my dad, Joshua Scott, received his calling to rest in the arms of Jesus. My mom says he has the best seats to our lives, and I insist on giving him the best show. My dad was such an amazing influence on my life and he was the reason my direction lead to enlist in the Army, accepting a spot onto WCAP, the Army’s World Class Athletic Program.

I now have the opportunity to train Greco-Roman wrestling at the highest level everyday. Having the best training partners and coaching staff has helped me achieve some major goals this year.

I recently secured my spot on the U23 World Team when I became The U.S. Open Champion at 72kg. This achievement gave me the opportunity to bring home a Gold for the USA at the Pan Am Wrestling Championship in Argentina. Hearing our country’s National Anthem, while standing on top of that podium, hits another level of emotion and drive for an athlete.

Becoming the U.S. Open Champion also secured my spot to wrestle at the prestigious FinalX Tournament in Newark, NJ, and even though I didn’t get the results I wanted, it was an amazing experience. My next stop is to wrestle in Finland for the U23 World Team and continue to climb the ladder in my career. There is no where else to go but up from here! #All4Dad.
